Design Review

Help your neighborhood maintain its character

Before you begin any exterior modification (architectural, landscape, paint, etc.), you must obtain approval from the Architectural Review Committee, even if your modifications are congruent with Two Step Farm design standards.

Let’s face it, we all have different tastes and styles. The design review process provides consistency in the quality of all exterior home modifications, emphasizes the natural characteristics of the area, and supports the community vision.

Before you submit your application

  1. Plan a realistic timeline. The Architectural Review Committee has 15 days from the date a completed application is submitted to review and provide a written response to the homeowner. Final approvals may take up to 30 days. Complete, clear, and thorough applications can be returned much sooner.
  2. Don’t assume it will be approved. You need approval before you begin any work. You may have noticed your neighbor made an exterior modification, but that doesn’t mean it was approved nor that it will work for your home.
  3. Wait for the green light. It’s much easier to go through the design review process before you make a modification than to have to remove the modification at your own expense.
